This year I got a late start on my annual Lightroom spring cleaning of the photographs. It came as no surprise that during the past twelve months I’d made far fewer photographs than any previous twelve month period. There were significant drops in every category except Food, which I’m sad to say remains strong. I’m just not getting out often enough for landscapes anymore. The only good thing about it is that it makes culling the year’s images quick and easy.
After I finished cleaning up this year I looked over the previous sixteen years of photographs and realized that, out of 14,000+ images, there were only a few dozen that are worth keeping. I haven’t been able to work up the nerve to dump the others, yet, but I will. Perhaps a clean slate will encourage me to make new photographs again.
