12-string Guitar

Some time ago, I bought a Yamaha 12-string guitar from a friend who had decided to sell it. I’ve always loved the beautiful, rich sound of a 12-string, so I was pleased to have it and enjoyed playing it whenever I had the chance. A few months later, though, my friend admitted that he was having second thoughts about letting it go. I could tell he really missed the guitar and probably wished he’d never sold it in the first place. I understood how he felt. Anyone who’s ever parted with a favorite instrument knows that sometimes you don’t realize how attached you are to something until it’s gone. When he asked about buying it back, I was happy to oblige. As much as I enjoyed the Yamaha, I knew it had a history with him that I couldn’t replace. So the guitar went back to its original owner, right where it belonged. I enjoyed having it while it lasted, but sometimes the best thing you can do with a good guitar is return it to the person who never really wanted to let it go in the first place.
