It almost looks like a Mercator projection of meat continents, doesn’t it?
Don’t ask me how we missed it for so long, but today I suddenly noticed a large package of defrosted meat in the fridge that was past its use by date. It was actually a sell by date that I was looking at. I’ll often give meat 6 or 7 days after it’s sell by date before I toss it out. This pile of beef steak was getting close. Solution – cook it all up tonight!!
It couldn’t have worked out better, actually, because I’d just bought a square griddle pan that I wanted to try out. It worked well. We ate a little bit for dinner and there were leftovers, so I had lunch covered for the next couple of days. Steak sandwich. Steak taco. Steak burrito. Steak and eggs.
