Surf fishing at the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes offers a rugged, remote, and highly rewarding experience. Because it gets far less foot traffic than neighboring beaches like Pismo, the fish are plentiful and the crowds are virtually non-existent. Barred Surfperch are the undisputed king of the dunes and constitute over 95% of the catch here. They are incredibly fun to catch, put up a great fight on light tackle, and make for excellent fish tacos.
