Let it Bee

The exquisite synergy between a honeybee and a blossom is one of nature’s finest masterpieces. Writers, naturalists, and poets have long been captivated by this quiet, industrious dance of gathering sweetness and life.

There is a tall hedge of Ligustrum japonicum, known as wax-leaf or Japanese privet, in our backyard. The flower clusters on these shrubs attract a large numbers of pollinators foraging for nectar and pollen during their blooming season in late spring or early summer.

Here’s hoping that you find all the nectar and pollen your looking for this season.
