With the planting of two more trees a year ago last spring, we now have six citrus trees on our property — a Navel orange and a Valencia orange on the front hill, two Duncan grapefruit trees down the back hill, and a Tangelo and another Navel in the back yard.
This time of the year, when I take the dogs out in the morning, I’ll pull 3-4 oranges off the trees to squeeze for breakfast. Sweet and refreshing, it’s a great way to start the day. Life is good.
