Dianthus (Dianthus ‘solomio’) is used primarily as an ornamental flower in gardens, borders, rock gardens, and containers, where its colorful, fringed blooms provide long-lasting seasonal interest. Its compact growth also makes it useful for edging pathways and filling small spaces, while the fragrant flowers can attract butterflies and other pollinators. Like many dianthus varieties, its blooms may also be used as a decorative accent in floral arrangements, which is where this came from.
