Pink Guara

Oenothera lindheimeri, commonly known as Pink Gaura or Pink Wand Flower, is a graceful, long-blooming perennial native to Texas and Louisiana that has become a popular ornamental plant for its airy appearance, delicate flowers, and tolerance of heat and drought. It forms clumps of narrow green leaves and produces tall, slender, branching stems covered with small, four-petaled flowers in shades of pink and white, often blooming from late spring through fall. The flowers flutter in the slightest breeze, giving the plant a light, butterfly-like quality that adds movement and softness to garden plantings. Its ability to thrive in full sun, tolerate dry conditions once established, and require relatively little maintenance has made it a popular choice for cottage, pollinator, naturalistic, and water-wise gardens.
