This wire temperature/humidity garden owl ornament has been in one corner of our backyard or another forever. The neighborhood birds have come to like it, my wife likes it, and I like it. I would like it even more if it hadn’t stopped working 5-6 years ago. Owls like this that stand guard over your garden and report the weather without demanding a salary have become an endangered species. Similar owl weather instruments turn up at garden-decor retailers and major stores, although the exact wire-bodied, two-eyed thermometer/hygrometer style is harder to find than ordinary owl thermometers—apparently this particular wise old bird may have become something of a collectible.
