Yellow Chrysanthemum

The name chrysanthemum comes from the ancient Greek words chrysos, meaning “gold,” and anthemon, meaning “flower,” so the name literally means “golden flower.” This is especially fitting for yellow chrysanthemums, since the earliest cultivated forms were predominantly golden-yellow, long before breeders developed the many white, pink, red, purple, and bronze varieties we see today.
