Asian Pears (Pyrus pyrifolia)

Asian pears are among my favorite fruits, combining the crisp, juicy texture of an apple with the delicate sweetness of a pear. Unlike European pears, which soften as they ripen, Asian pears remain firm and crunchy even when fully ripe. Their refreshing sweetness, mild flavor, and remarkable juiciness make them especially enjoyable when eaten fresh and chilled.
