I enjoy using my photography to create digital art.

The photography community’s feelings toward digitally enhanced art seem to be deeply split. It’s a spectrum that ranges from embracing powerful new workflows to feeling a profound sense of “AI exhaustion” and concern about the erasure of the craft.

Most photographers agree that the dividing line comes down to intent and transparency. If a creator is open about their work being a “digital composite” or “AI-assisted,” the community generally respects it as a valid form of digital art. The anger primarily ignites when a heavily manipulated image is passed off as a raw, authentic photograph.
