Red Tip Photinia (Photinia × fraseri) is a popular evergreen shrub prized for its bright red new leaves, which gradually mature to glossy green. It can grow into a dense, rounded hedge or screen and produces clusters of small white flowers in spring, followed by red berries that can attract birds. Red Tip Photinia grows best in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil and regular watering while establishing, although it can tolerate some drought once mature.
It is generally considered non-toxic to dogs and cats, so normal contact with the plant is not usually a serious concern for pets.
