Missing My Prius

I didn’t realize how much I would miss my old Prius until after I sold it. It wasn’t fast, flashy, or particularly exciting, but it had a remarkable talent for sipping gasoline while quietly judging everyone else at the pump. We went a lot of places together, including plenty of dusty desert roads where a hybrid probably had no business being. I’ve owned other cars since, but every time gas prices climb, I think about that little white Prius and wonder if selling it was one of those decisions that seemed sensible at the time.
